Pictures From A Recent Signing

I wanted to put up a couple of pictures that were taken at a recent book signing at the Vigo County Public Library.

This first picture includes my wife Jane, myself, and our son Shaun, who is also our publisher. He and his wife Amanda established Founders House Publishing initially as a means to publish our book.

Pictured here is one of my biggest supporters, Lisa B. Knott, who happens to included in a chapter of "Echoes From The Past: A Memoir Of Family Heritage." She and her husband Rob are situated on the left side with my wife Jane and I on the right.

The Signings Continue

Just a quick note for those check here. If you want to attend any of the upcoming book signings, please check the list to the right. More events will be added all the time.

John and Mary Jane will be attending all of these events. Books will be on sale for those whole would like to buy them and have them signed by the authors.

Upcoming Author Events

In the coming weeks, there will be a series of book signings that will be listed in the sidebar. The goal is to keep adding events throughout the month of April. Both Jane and I will be attending these events. Books will be available for purchasing and signing.

We will also be available to answer questions about the book and researching family history. Also attending these events will be representatives of Founders House Publishing, the company that published Echoes From The Past: A Memoir Of Family Heritage. This small press was created by my son Shaun and his wife Amanda.

Coming Soon: Echoes From The Past

Echoes From The Past is a memoir of family history written by John L. Kilgore Sr. and his wife Mary Jane. It follows his adventures in genealogy and the unexpected pleasures that came with reconnected in with family long separated by both miles and years.

John discovered not only his family roots in Virginia, but learned that he shared common kinship with country music legends the Carter Family. He met June Carter Cash, wife of country star Johnny Cash.

Later, John made another country music connection with Merle Kilgore, singer/songwriter and manager of Hank Williams Jr.

Yet, such famous meetings would not have been possible without the relationships he forged with the many cousins living in the mountains of Virginia and Tennessee, and around the country.
